JKSSB: Final Selection List Released for Accounts Assistant Posts in J&K
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the final selection list for the recruitment of Accounts Assistant posts in the Finance Department, UT Cadre. This recruitment drive was advertised through Notification No. 04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020, under Item No. 106.
The Finance Department, in coordination with the JKSSB, initiated the recruitment process by issuing an indent (Indent No. FD/Coord/08/2020 dated 19.11.2020) for direct recruitment to 972 posts of Accounts Assistant. These posts were categorized under different cadres, with specific quotas for various categories.
Candidates applying for these positions were required to possess a graduation degree from a recognized university, with a minimum of 50% marks for Open Merit candidates and 45% marks for Reserved Category candidates.
Additionally, candidates with a postgraduate degree, PhD, or equivalent qualifications were also eligible for selection.
The JKSSB invited applications through Notification No. 04 of 2020 dated 16.12.2020, and conducted the written examination for the Accounts Assistant post on 28th January 2024.
Subsequently, the result/score-sheet of the written examination was published through Notification No. JKSSB COEGEXAM/(UT)/105/2023-04 (7372799) dated 09.02.2024.
Following the examination, the JKSSB constituted a Selection Committee to prepare the Provisional Selection List. This list was presented before the Board, which approved its notification after thorough deliberation.
The Provisional Selection List was published on 26th February 2024, allowing candidates to submit representations or grievances within five days.
After examining the representations received, the Selection Committee made necessary corrections and adjustments, resulting in the formation of the Final Selection List.
This list, comprising candidates selected based on merit and eligibility criteria, has been officially released and is available on the JKSSB website.
However, it is important to note that the Final Selection List is subject to the outcome of any OAs/Writ Petitions pending adjudication before any Competent Court of law. Additionally, any ongoing enquiries involving candidates listed in this selection are also likely to impact the final outcome.
